A longtime volunteer and official, Among his many contributions to the sport he developed the Water Ski Tournament information Management System (WSTIMS. He is a technical controller, and senior judge and scorer and rated as a Pan Am judge. He received the AWSA Award of Merit in 1998. His technical expertise and equipment has been donated to the American Water Ski Educational Foundation on numerous occasions.
