JACK WYLIE
1962 – 1964: U. S. Army: stationed in San Antonio, Texas. 

Jack was best known as an early flat kite flyer. He was fearless of the height while performing for thousands of spectators. While at Cypress Gardens he flew for National Graphic with a camera mounted on his kite. He flew in the Tommy Bartlett road shows in the Far East and Lima, Peru depending on the season.

He performed at Tommy Bartlett Water Ski Show at Wisc Dells in the summers of 1966-69 and in 1970 a Road show Mediterranean coast, France Italy with Philippe Logut.

Some of you may remember Jack sitting on the sideline of many tournaments and at Cypress Gardens making the palm hats we all knew so well in the mid 1960s. His nickname was "Jack the hat". His business is now construction of Tiki Huts, Thatched Roof Palapas and chickees.
