Jay Bennett

 Jay skied in his first nationals in 1967 Jr Boys and competed thru 1990. He won Overall in 1985.

Skied in and placed in Overall 15 times.

A ski school operator since 1976 (this is his 34th year)and owner of Bennett Ski School. He has coached elite competitors and served as coach of the elite and junior Water ski teams. Bennett served on the AWSA board of directors from 1981-83 and chaired the national junior development committee in 1990 and the national coaching advisory committee in 1992. Jay was awarded the AWSA’s highest honor the Award of Merit in 1998 and that same year named the AWSA Elite Coach of the year. He also served as the executive vice president of the south central region in 1981.

Many of his students called him “Boss” because of his drive for their achieving the best that they could.
