HOW TO CHALLENGE YOUR STATE
NEIGHBOR!
Each registered legacy for all 50 states plus territories will receive display recognition in the public viewing areas in the Water Ski Hall of Fame and Museum to remain on display indefinitely.
The State
Legacy Ladder allows state clubs, federation, individuals, ski
teams, regions, disciplines, officials, industry, etc. to
demonstrate their competitive nature "State to State" to help
AWSEF preserve history and legacies as well as support the Hall
and Museum for posterity.
The State
Legacy Ladder Fundraising Program is intended to stimulate
ongoing financial support to secure the operating requirements
of the American Water Ski Educational Foundation. Funds
received are intended to be limited to the operation of the Hall
of Fame Museum, lands and facilities, operational and
administrative expenses associated with the duties and projects
as identified by the Foundation and its Board of Trustees.
Legacies are
recognized by one photograph and no more than a 300-word
description identifying the contribution or noteworthy
accomplishment on the Legacy Ladder Web site, a permanent
feature of the AWSEF Hall of Fame and Museum Web site. Legacies
are not required to meet any defined criteria, but all posted
copy is subject to editorial review.
Sponsoring
entities are responsible for providing the desired photo (one
per legacy) and the biographical copy.

A Water Ski Legacy may be
established in the name of an individual, a club, a ski site, an
organization, discipline, company or an event that has had a
meaningful impact, whether locally or nationally, on water
skiing sport disciplines.
A Legacy may be funded with a
$1,000 contribution to the American Water Ski Educational
Foundation.
