AWSEF State Legacy Fundraising Campaign

American Water Ski Educational Foundation

State Legacy Ladder

Immortalize your local Water Ski Legacies for ever!

WHAT IS A STATE LEGACY?

The State Legacy Ladder Fund-raising Program proposal is intended to promote and celebrate our sport while contributing to our fund-raising efforts to maintain and improve the facility.

The initiative is designed to allow state residents to challenge their neighbors to friendly competitive generosity to help the AWSEF preserve its history and recognize local legacies who otherwise might not be recognized in the Water Ski Hall of Fame.

A Water Ski Legacy may be established in the name of an individual, a club, a ski site, an organization or an event that has had a meaningful impact, whether locally or nationally, on water skiing and other towed water sports.

A Legacy may be funded with a $1,000 contribution to the American Water Ski Educational Foundation by individuals, families, clubs, communities, businesses, state federations or civic organizations.

Legacies are recognized by one photograph and no more than a 300-word description identifying the contribution or noteworthy accomplishment on the Legacy Ladder Web site, a permanent feature of the AWSEF Hall of Fame and Museum Web site. Legacies are not required to meet any defined criteria, but all posted copy is subject to editorial review.

Sponsoring entities are responsible for providing the desired photo (one per legacy) and the biographical copy.
