

Earl E. Robertson, Jr. of Kansas City, MO and Vero Beach, FL died
peacefully in his sleep Sunday August 24, 2010, following a five year
battle with cancer.
Born October 14, 1928 in Kansas City, MO, he was the son of Earl E.
Robertson and Margaret Hocker Robertson. Earl attended the University of
Kansas where he was a member of the Gamma Chi chapter of the Delta Tau
Delta fraternity. He served his
nation in the U.S. Army while stationed in Washington D.C.
Earl was the owner of Neal Boats & Motors for over twenty-five
years. In his retirement, he focused his efforts on making E.E.
Robertson Farms, Inc., in Armstrong, MO a respected name among Missouri
Angus producers.
Earl was a trustee of the American Water Ski Educational Foundation
(AWSEF) from 1984 till 2004. During this time he served as
Vice-President 1996-2003, Secretary 1990-1992 and Treasurer 1992-1996,
and Honorary Trustee until his retirement in 2004.
After leaving the board of trustees in 2004 he set up an Endowment Fund
for the AWSEF which is managed by a board of AWSEF (Fund Directors)
appointed by the AWSEF Board of Trustees. The Endowment Fund accepts
donation to ensure the indefinite future of the AWSEF’s museum, its
artifacts and Hall of Fame, and to strengthen the quality and scope of
AWSEF’s presentations and programs. The Fund shall be managed and
operated exclusively for the purpose described in section 501 (C) (3) of
the Internal Revenue Code.
He was a Life member of the American Water Ski Association, a judge,
scorer and served on various committees.
He was instrumental in setting up a retirement fund for the
employees of USA Water Ski in the 1980s.
